Barriers to Belonging (And How to Remove Them)

Wednesdays (3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9), 7-9pm | In the early church, we see examples of fellowship and united mission regardless of social class, age, race, or background - and correction when they strayed from such unity. But how well do we reflect this in our own lives and as a community? Alongside our current series in Acts, we will explore the biblical narratives of invitation (God’s heart for radical hospitality) and inclusion (Christ’s work to break down all dividing walls of hostility).

In this session we’ll take a deeper look at what belonging means in our own church and communities. Those who tend to move through church life with ease will reflect on barriers to true welcome, while those who have navigated experiences of being in the cultural or social margins will discuss how to thrive in spaces that are still growing in diversity.

Led by Josh Klevorn and Evita Gahagan

Sessions will be at the church office on Wednesday nights. A zoom option will also be available for those wishing to attend remotely.
